Why so few? Was this a test batch to see if the pan was hot enough?

How could anyone NOT continuously eat them during cooking?
*I move out in may and my parents are very excited to be rid of my onion addiction. This is but one example that makes them grossed out*

it wouldn’t take so long if the pan wasn’t overcrowded

I love how onions go from lots of onion to little onion

Start with at least 10x as much next time! Might as well if you’re putting in the time!

My husband only eats them at the very last phase. It is exhausting to cook these at a point lol
100Onions
I caramelized some tonight and kept eating it non-stop and by the time they were done, I’d eaten half. I actually thought… other people do this… totally normal.
iiiimagery
Sadly, not caramelized, however it looks very good. Might go cook up an onion after this lol

You can take a little water and deglaze the pan every so often as you’re cooking to get the rest of those natural sugars in your gullet. This is how I’ve done it in many restaurants I’ve worked in. It makes for a more uniform caramelization.
You could use any liquid for this, I’ve used beer, wine, stock ect. They all turn out great but water won’t alter the taste of the onion.
